Originating from its humble beginnings as Bee Joo Transport Co, ecoWise has accumulated more than 30 years of resource recovery experiences with products and services utilized by various industries such as agricultural, construction, logistics and automobile. The Group has since then become one of the main industrial and urban recyclers for horticulture tree wastes (leaves, branches & tree trunks), industrial wood waste and recycle homogeneous food waste (spent grains, orange peels) residues in Singapore, with services covering collection, disposal, processing and recycling of industrial, urban and organic production side streams. Leveraging on its involvement in in-house R&D as well as collaboration with strategic partners and research institutions, ecoWise is able to provide customized environmental solutions to its customers.
Rubber Compound Manufacturing and Tyre Re-treading
Malaysia
- Integrated rubber tyre retreading business is undertaken by wholly-owned subsidiary, Sunrich Integrated Sdn. Bhd.
- Tight vertical integration of manufacturing processes allows optimization of its product ranges and operational efficiency from which operation cost savings can be realised.
- Continuous enhancement in production capabilities by adopting state-of-the-art German and European technologies in commissioning a highly automated rubber mixing plant.
Core Business Arms:
- Manufacturing of rubber compound and custom made compounds such as pre-cured tread liners, cushion gum, perforated sidewall veneer and rubber masterbatch. Products are used downstream in tyre re-treading process as well as in other applications such as industrial belting and mechanical rubber goods etc.
- Re-treading of truck & bus radial (TBR) as well as off the road (OTR) tyres using materials produced in-house such as pre-cured tread liners and cushion gum. A wide selection of re-treaded tyres and ‘Sunrich’ new tyres sold under the established brand names of Suntex and Autoways.
- Providing technical advise on total tyre management (TTM) services to local transport and logistic industries.
Core Business Arms:
- Recycle homogenous food waste from residues derived from food processing industries such as barley spent grains, soya waste, orange peels and expired bread are collected from local major food-processing factories and recycled into animal feed.
- Recycling of food waste from central kitchens, supermarkets and hotels. These pre & post consumed food waste are churned to food waste slurry before transporting to ecoWise’s partner facility. The by-product of these food waste slurry will be utilised in our partner’s Anaerobic Digester to produce green electricity.
- ecoWise has collaborated with PUB on treating Concentrated Greasy Waste, which steam is used as medium to separate grease from water. This greasy oil will be repurposed to sustainable aviation fuel.
- Integration with biomass power plant – use of electrical power and steam produced by the power plant to dry and process the food consumables residues into animal feed.
Biomass Fuel Preparation
- ecoWise’s 15,000m2 facility in the 5 and 7 Sungei Kadut St 6 serves the function of production ground for biomass fuel.
- The facility is capable of processing 50,000 metric tons of horticultural and industrial wood waste into biomass fuel each year.
- Facility is also equipped with sorting and crushing equipment used for the high quality and calorific value biomass fuel.
